Dancing with the Stars the tour

Ed Doersam and Regina Lukich, from Invitation to Dance studio, won the Dancing with the Stars Soft Scrub Dance Challenge January 9 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus. Ed and Regina impressed the audience of nearly ten thousand, beating 19 other local couples, some of them professional instructors dancing with their students, to capture the winning trophy.

Ed has been dancing for almost 9 years before coming to the studio. He has worked with top professional Dana Coil for just over 3 months.

Ed & Regina

Regina has been dancing for over 5 years and has trained exclusively at Invitation to Dance. She has taken private lessons with top professional Stacy Coil and frequently attends the many group lessons that Stacy and Dana offer at the studio.

Regina and Ed had to pass a qualifying round held at Arthur Murray’s Dance Studio a week earlier. For the competition, they danced two rounds before dance throb Alec Mazo, who called back only 6 couples for the semi-final round and 2 for the final round. The winner was chosen by the audience applause after final round. Wayne Newton and Drew Lechay said they had never heard such an exuberant ovation.
